Search engine optimisation, often abbreviated to ‘SEO’, is one of the most commonly used marketing techniques for businesses that make their money online. Despite its growing popularity however, there are still plenty of businesses who don’t know what SEO is, or at least they’re unaware of how the process works.

It’s fair to say that many SEO agencies and engineers like to perpetuate this lack of understanding in their clients, ensuring their monthly retainers as businesses feel that they’d have no chance of bringing the SEO discipline in-house.
