In the UK, Europe and the US, life expectancy has been gradually increasing over the last several decades, with the average person now living to around 75 years of age. One of the main reasons for the increase in life expectancy is the constant growth and application of medical technology; whether we’re talking about the procedures, processes or equipment that facilitates modern medical care.

So how far has medical technology come in recent years? How are advances in medical tech funded and applied in modern medicine?
