Angry Birds has become the biggest mobile game franchise in existence; at the same time making Rovio one of the most well-known and profitable games developers on Earth. Since the release of the original, the game has seen numerous iterations of the franchise and has altogether been downloaded more than a billion times – an incredible statistic for any game that’s primarily played on a mobile device.

The most recent addition to the Angry Birds series – Angry Birds Space – has been no exception, being downloaded 10 million times in its first three days of release.
