2012 Media Deaths

With the growing tensions in certain areas of the world – most notably Syria, Egypt, Somalia, Iraq and Afghanistan – it’s no surprise that more and more journalists and members of the media are finding themselves in hostile locations, reporting up-to-date news on some of the most serious conflicts.

With that increase in media comes a much greater risk of those journalists, reporters and film crews coming under fire, or worse, finding themselves the direct target of insurgent groups and armed government agents. To highlight just how serious the situation has become, security and training firm TYR Solutions Ltd have produced the following infographic, called Media Deaths 2012:
